What would be a good day trip from Anna Maria Island Florida? - anna maria island
We stayed for a week, so I would like to see on a trip a day, which is not more than 3 or 4 hours by car. Would my husband, our two daughters aged 3 a.m. to 5 p.m. and I. We do not want to spend money on theme parks.

A few people have mentioned Tampa. Although I like Tampa, does not make a day trip to Anna Maria well because she too far. Instead, I propose to the big city, Jacksonville, or if you prefer something more small and quaint St. Augustine, very beautiful.
You can lead a tour of Tampa Ybor City / Channelside / and the aquarium. Everything is in the same area of downtown Tampa. There is also an IMAX theater and a bowling alley and food or St. Petersburg and visit the pier. Oh yes, and Lowry Park Zoo and the Florida State Fair is in town. It's fun and not spend money for more
